Bead Jar Celebration.

WOW!   Your children are amazing!  They had a sub on Monday and its the week of Halloween.  Despite those challenges they did an incredible job this week and filled the bead jar.  We are having Anything Goes Day tomorrow.  Yes they can wear their costumes, bring a toy, bring bubble gum, wear a hat, wear crazy hair, and I am going to get out the craft supplies so they can get creative.  If you have any questions, please email me.  Congratulations on great kids!!!

Weekly Update October 28, 2019 10/28   D Day We have gym and music .   Homework: Read, share your word list with a parent, and complete math fact sheet.  10/29   E Day We have art.    Homework: Complete word worksheet. Math Game Bag came home with a new game today. 10/30   F Day We have gym   . Late Start Morning. See you at 9:25.    Homework: Math Game in bag 10/31   A Day We have music. NO HOMEWORK TODAY!   HAPPY HALLOWEEN! 11/1   B Day We have library, art, and SEL. Homework: We do not have homework. Weekly Word Rule: This week our word rule will center around the open syllable pattern. This includes words like me, dry, lady, donut, and spoken. The words are on Spelling City for practice. Bead jar & pumpkin characters

The bead jar is filled.  In celebration, we will be taking advantage of popcorn day and adding a  pajama day, bring something soft like a stuffed animal, and a movie.  The movie is the Box Car  Children.  We just finished reading the book so we will have an opportunity to compare and  contrast how characters which goes along with our reading theme of character analysis.  I will  also have Capri Suns for the children.  Email me with any questions.  Thank you.                                                  Pumpkin character building is tomorrow from 10:30-11:30.  The children have drawn their  character and mapped out the supplies they need.  If you would like to come be a part of the fun  children creating with paper, glue, pins, and so much more, we would love to have you here.   Thank you!!

Math Bags

Math Bags The math bags are coming home today.  The Number Grid Game is inside along with the instructions of how to play.  Your child can play this game anytime this week with someone at home and have their slip signed by an adult.  The bags are due back on Thursday so they can be reloaded with a new game for next Monday.  Please email me if you have any questions.

Weekly Update October 21, 2019 10/21 E Day We have art. Homework: Do math fact practice sheet and read/ explain the syllable pattern on your word list. Math Game Bags were sent home today. 10/22 F Day We have gym.  Homework: Complete the word work worksheet.  10/23 A Day We have music. Late Start Morning. Homework: Read on RAZ. ????   10/25 C Day We have art.  The book order will be placed today at 9:15 a.m. Pumpkin Character Creation Day 10:30-11:30 a.m.             Homework: We do not have homework. Word Work: Our class will be learning about adding inflected endings  to -VCe syllable patterns.  We will learn to drop the e before adding the  endings -ed and -ing. Examples: bake, baked, baking / hope, hoped, hoping.  We will also review our closed syllable pattern and the 1+1+1 rule when adding -ed and -ing.   Paper
