Word Work:   Our class will be learning about the vowel diphthong /oi/ syllable patterns

should read their word lists, discuss the meaning of the words, and practice spelling words
with similar syllable patterns. Spelling City is ready for students to access the practice list
for the week

Monday Morning Meetings:  We are now into the full swing of meeting together every
Monday as a 2nd grade group.  The concepts that we have discussed is the brain is like
a muscle, there is power in making mistakes, and the importance of the word YET.  We
will continue with more on the word YET, the importance of hope, and ways we can be mindlful. These are great topics to talk with your student about.  Let Mrs. Laukus or Mrs. Starks know if you have any questions.

Green Bowl: Are you missing a green plastic bowl. Someone brought it in for our Christmas party
