    Homework: Read your word list and practice for Math Center

    We have math center and gym.
    Homework:  Complete your word sheet.

    We have music and the NWEA
    Homework: Practice math facts or play a math game

    We have library, SEL, and art.
    Homework: Read a book from home or on  RAZ.
  1/17
  C Day
    We have art.
    Homework:  No homework.  Keep reading and practicing math
    facts.

Word Work: Our class will be learning the r controlled o syllable pattern this week. Our vowel

pattern will show up in words like explore, yourself, and support. . Students should read their word

lists, discuss the meaning of the words, and practice spelling words with similar syllable patterns. Spelling City is ready for students to access the practice list for the week.


Book Orders:  Book Orders will be due on Thursday, January 16th.

Weekly Update Sept.9th-13th

Weekly Update September 9, 2019 9/9 E Day We have art 9/10 F Day We have gym 9/11 A Day We have music 9/12 B Day We have art, library, and SEL time (social emotional learning) 9/13 E Day We have  Keep Reading! First Week:  It was a wonderful first week in second grade!  Mrs. Laukus and I are excited about all the great learning we have ahead of us.  Thank you for sharing your children and being a part of our Lincoln School Family.   Nightly Reading:  Students are expected to read every night.  This week students are expected to read for 10 minutes each night.   If you have been reading throughout the summer and your child's reading stamina is greater than 10 minutes, please continue your routine.  The 2nd grade goal is for all children to read independently for a minimum of 20 minutes. They should be able to read fluently, retell the information, and answer a variety of questions accurately.  Back to
