Homework: We do not have homework.
Math Center Practice Tests:  On Monday, your child is bringing home a math
center practice sheet.  Please set a timer to 2 minutes and have them complete as
many facts as they can.  When the timer goes off, have them draw a line after the
last problem they finished and complete the rest of the sheet.  
Weekly Word List:  Your child will bring home a word list each Monday.  Please
remember to go through the list with them reading the words and discussing the
word rule for the week.  Students should be able to independently read the list by
the end of the week. This week is a sort of -ed inflected endings.  Through the week
the children will learn to sort the words by the sound ed makes which is
either /d/, /id/, or /t/. The words can be found on spelling city to practice.  On
Tuesday, students will again bring home their sort cards to practice sorting the
words by their sounds.
Parent Teacher Conferences:  I look forward to seeing you in the next week or
so to talk about your wonderful child.  Our conference time is 20 minutes long
and I have my conferences scheduled back to back Please let me know as soon
as possible if you are not going to be able to make your conference time.

Bead jar & pumpkin characters

The bead jar is filled.  In celebration, we will be taking advantage of popcorn day and adding a  pajama day, bring something soft like a stuffed animal, and a movie.  The movie is the Box Car  Children.  We just finished reading the book so we will have an opportunity to compare and  contrast how characters which goes along with our reading theme of character analysis.  I will  also have Capri Suns for the children.  Email me with any questions.  Thank you.                                                  Pumpkin character building is tomorrow from 10:30-11:30.  The children have drawn their  character and mapped out the supplies they need.  If you would like to come be a part of the fun  children creating with paper, glue, pins, and so much more, we would l...
